Now you can either own these in the “Standard” or the “Precision” models. The difference between the two is that in the “Standard” it has a wider fit which allows the toes to splay – perfect for the forefoot striker and when lifting heavy weights. Boasts all the same qualities as the precision-fit F-Lite too. And in the “Precision” it states it’s lightweight, super-fast and delivers awesome grip.
I have the “Standard” version, so my review will go off of that.
I have had both the black and white version and currently I got a new pair from Inov8 for the green/red version above. And I honestly say I love them.
I use them both for the endurance style WODs where we have to do a lot of quick movements & sprints and the WODs where we lift heavy weights &/or have to complete a lot of movements in a limited amount of time.
Everything from box jumps, jump rope, squats, dead lifts & sprints as well pose no problem when I need to perform my best.
They’re light, fit true to size, grip the ground well when you plant your feet for specific movements & are flexible when you need move your feet around. In the case that you’re doing burpees or certain stretches. What’s even better is that you don’t even need to break them in! Don’t believe me? I took the green/red 240s straight out of the box at the Barbell For Boobs event I competed in racently and my friend and I were able to take first in the scaled division!!!
Inov8 makes great shoes not only in the running realm, but in the crossfit/weight lifting realm as well!
I give this shoe 4 out of 5 piggys!!!
The reason they got a 4 out of 5 is that I personally felt that for the realm of crossfit they’re amazing. Short sprints they work great, but anything more than a mile and I feel I wouldn’t feel too great running in these shoes. That’s just my personal opinion though.
Try them out for yourself!
